Chiara Costacurta
Sometimes we don't choose our passions, they choose us.
My passion for jewellery was born with me.
I am now certain that this obsession is part of my DNA.
My earliest memory dates back to a family lunch, when I first met my paternal grandmother's sisters. I remember little of the environment: it was simple, elegant. I was perhaps six years old.
At some point, one of them got up from the table and left for a few minutes. When she returned, she was wearing some jewellery. They were simple, but I still remember them with surprising clarity today.
From that moment on, the first thing I notice – sometimes even risking being intrusive – is the jewellery a woman wears: it speaks of her, her life, her personality and her dreams.
Women have always been my greatest source of inspiration. Independent women, or women determined to become independent. Women who forge their own path, who transform themselves, who evolve. The jewellery I create is dedicated to them.
I believe in love between equals, that love which values the other and makes them better.
I believe in reinventing old jewellery so that it can be worn and passed down again.
I believe in the evolution of the future: from new generations I pick up on signs of transformation and the desire for change.
For many years, jewellery was a passion cultivated almost in secret. After high school and studies in Business Administration, it seemed an unusual interest, distant from the path I had chosen.
At night, when the house was silent, I would start working with silver and semi-precious stones. Necklaces, rings, and earrings of every shape were born. Without my realising it, the true magic of my work also took shape: friends became clients and new clients became friends.
In 2011, I was in London when I decided to take a GIA course. I didn't yet know that this choice would change my path. The study of gemmology opened the doors to the world of high jewellery for me and gave me the tools to deepen a passion that was by then part of my life.
In the following years, I continued to build my project, balancing it with my family, my four children and my dogs, who still remain among my greatest loves today.
After the experience in Lugano and the first workshop opened in Treviso, in 2023 I moved to Milan. Here I decided to take an important step: to open my atelier in the heart of the city.
A place I had long imagined. A space to welcome clients, develop new ideas, create relationships, and offer a safe environment in which to give shape to desires, memories, and personal projects. A salon in the heart of Brera, completed by a certified Piercing Station and a community of women that continues to grow every day.
Today, the Chiara Costacurta brand bears my name, but it tells a story that goes beyond mine: a story of creativity, independence, transformation, and connections.
Chiara Costacurta speaks of me, but above all, it speaks of the women who choose to wear my creations.
My brand speaks of you.
With affection,
Chiara Costacurta
